  After finishing my education at the Pedagogic Academy at Rotterdam in 1979, I followed artistic studies at the Academy for Design Education at Tilburg. There I learned how to handle with different materials and art techniques and got interested in painting and ceramics.
  In that period, seeking for artistic enrichment, I developed my artistic skills by using the diversity of materials as a starting-point. Finally in 1988, I settled myself as an artist in the town of Geldrop near Eindhoven.
  
  Still I am keeping diversity as a guiding principle in my work: through combinations of techniques, materials and colours, one art form influences the other. This leads me each time to new challenges, such as a symbiosis between different artistic forms as well as between art and architecture.
  Since 1994, beside my own art work, on the field of painting and ceramics I give lessons at several institutions as well as courses in my own atelier.
